I think WoW has just run it's course and WOW what a great run.  They'll breath some life back into it with Cataclysm but hopefully they'll also announce what the next thing is at the same time Cataclysm is released.  Perhaps give a little incentive for the new game to play WoW now?  I have faith that Blizzard is going to make something really cool, I'd love to hear a little something about it.

Been playing STO and loving it.

But I am not happy right now. Not at all.

Bill Roper has been part of interviews about STO. Originally, he wasn't supposed to be involved with it at all.

Also, he announced he's stepping down as bossman from Champions Online. I really, really hope he doesn't get involved with STO.

The man heeds to go back to work on the RTS's. He's got the golden touch for those. But leave the MMO's alone!

I would definitely play it if it went free to play or "freemium". We've been dabbling in DDO and I am going to play around with LotRO when it goes free to play too. I like it because I can try it out before buying anything and if I like something in particular I can buy just that thing and not worry about other stuff.

I would definitely as well.  From all the reviews and feedback STO just doesn't seem good enough for the full $15.00/month.

F2P model can definitely work if applied right.  DDO has been very successful since they switched over.  I tried it a while back, but just didn't like it for a number of reasons.  Maybe I didn't give it enough time.

Will try LoTRO this fall if it goes F2P, assuming I'm not busy with another game  Smiley.
